Who we are

Stephen Harris Co-Director

Stephen is currently the Executive Headteacher of three maintained primary schools in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. The schools operate over five buildings and, in total, have over 2,000 pupils. The partnership between the three schools is constantly evolving and is designed to share strengths whilst allowing individual schools to continue to thrive as their own institutions. He is currently the joint lead of the Greenwich School Alliance [GSA] and works with local schools to provide training opportunities for teachers and leaders at various stages of their careers.

Stephen works as an assessor for a number of leadership programmes including the NPQ programmes. Stephen has also attended a number of review panels at the Standards and Testing Agency to contribute to the development of primary school assessment.

Ross Silcock Co-Director

Ross is an innovative headteacher with a proven track record of school transformation. Skilled in educational leadership, leadership development and educational research. Currently, he is headteacher of a growing primary school in London and studying for a doctorate in educational studies at the University of Sheffield.

Julie Taylor Education Consultant

Julie has over 20 years experience in teaching and leadership. She was the Head of School Improvement for the Royal Borough of Greenwich and is committed to securing the best outcomes (personal, social, emotional and academic) for our children & young people.

In her role, as Head of School Improvement, Julie significantly contributed to the successful outcomes in the borough. This was evident in the pupil outcomes (with the EYFS and Primary results consistently being in the Top 10 in England) and the borough Ofsted profile.

She was recognised by the borough for her work and won “manager of the year” where they said:

‘Julie is an expert at keeping people in the loop, sharing ownership and knowing who to bring on board. She recognises the value of the expertise of partners and teams and uses it to develop streamlined services and project efficiencies. By breaking down traditional boundaries she brings together skills and ideas from diverse areas - delivering shared successes.’

In addition to working for the LA she also worked as an additional inspector for Ofsted and taught courses at the Institute of Education (“Effective Subject Leadership in Schools”).

Julie is responsible for supporting the operational and strategic development of the Greenwich School Alliance.
